About the Role
Position based in El Paso, TX. Perform daily management of pharmacy and supervise all aspects of operations. Manage prescriptions of regular maintenance medication and ensure accuracy of prescription and filled orders. Dispense and compound prescriptions and manage new prescriptions. Perform drug utilization review for adverse reactions, allergies, drug regimens, medical history and provide recommendations to health care professionals. Counsel patients on medication use and possible interactions. Evaluate the effect of clinical pharmacist interventions in reducing discrepancies. Implement and maintain procedures for measuring, packaging, labeling, and recording medication issued to patients. Comply with State, Federal Medicaid and Medicare regulation for dispensing. Maintain pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge systems files, inventories and registries of poisons, narcotics, and controlled drugs. Require Master’s Degree or Foreign Equivalent in Applied Science or Pharmaceutical Science or Related with three years of experience or Bachelor’s Degree or Foreign Equivalent in Applied Science or Pharmaceutical Science or Related with five years of experience. Travel may be required to attend Clinical Conferences. Must be Licensed by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
